I love the warm colours; the beads work perfectly with the copper.

Thank you :) I bought the beads from a lady that used to make jewelry and has been collecting antiques for 30 years. She has sooo many vintage beads and findings...I spent three hours in her store looking through old boxes filled with everything you can imagine....I felt like a kid in a candy store! :)

I can imagine!  Findings are something I've never really used, owing largely to not knowing where to shop for them.  I bet you have a thousand ideas for new projects now :)

I haven't actually made any new jewelry in a number of months, but I finally feel the tug of inspiration thanks to you sending me so many amazing things to wrap.

I don't buy findings too often either, I like to learn and make my own - I have this really good book  www.amazon.com/Handcrafted-Wir…  have you read it? If not, I can email it to you ~ it is sooo inspiring! Oh yes, so many ideas :) hope I'll have time to put them into practice after the holidays.

...Why not ~ a creative block? I'm glad that you feel inspired now ~ can't wait to see your next art work!

That book looks intriguing.  What I wish I had though were like ... little metallic forged animals or something that I could work into pieces.

Not so much a creative block as a sort of vague discouragement at having a huge backstock and nothing to do with it.  I have managed to gift or trade away a lot by now though, and a couple of pieces have sold.  Between that and new supplies, I feel like maybe I can start making more stuff again.  I made Shawn a pendant for Xmas with the emeralds you sent :)

I sent it to you, enjoy :)  Little metallic animals ~ maybe something like this ? www.etsy.com/listing/163890375…  An idea ~ you can try making them out of polymer clay and apply a metallic patina :)

For me, it's hard to part with my jewelry - I made it, it is mine. :))) I gave a lot as gifts, too...Don't be discouraged ~ you are an Artist, keep creating, can't let your talent go to waist. I've noticed that people like sets, they sell faster. When I sell a pair of earrings they usually ask for a matching pendant and vice versa. I uploaded a photo of "Out of The Deep" on Facebook and got a couple of orders the next day - I was surprised. Sometimes you get clients from places you'd least expect... :) Can you upload a picture of  Shawn's pendant that you made? I'd love to see it :)

For some reason Gmail refuses to let me download the book.  Can you please try re-attaching it?  Or alternately, do you have Dropbox?

Yes, like those charms in the Etsy listing!  I suppose I didn't realize they might be that inexpensive either.  I should just have a look around Etsy and see what I can find.  I certainly don't mind throwing some business someone's way.

No kidding about clients in unexpected places.  I joined an art site the other day and worried that I was violating TOS by promoting when I uploaded my stuff, and then the admin bought something =D

I get attached to pieces as well, but I have so much of my own jewelry now I'm kind of saturated in it.  If I keep much more for myself, I'll literally never get around to wearing any one particular piece, because there are so many others that need wearing   Gifting stuff is nice though, and so is trading.

I will upload a picture of Shawn's pendant.  Just haven't shot one yet.  I was very thrilled by the emeralds, since I'd never seen one outside a display case before in my life.

Never heard of Dropbox before - I'm creating and account right now ~ Feeriee13 ~ you'll find the book in my dropbox folder, hope I did it right and it works....:)

I love Etsy, you can find everything you need at great prices over there....and soo much art, it's addicting, I used to spend hours on that site - the best place to get inspired! Pinterest, too!

There you go - that's awesome! =D What art site is it?

You've been making jewelry for years, I'm sure you have a nice collection ~ I wish I had, too. One of my New Year's resolutions is make more jewelry. Right now I only have a few pairs of earrings left, and a couple of pendants, I think. I didn't have time to make so much and it seems that most times when I did make something I had to gift it or sell it ~ usually to one of my friends that saw me wearing it. Trading is awesome, I've been trading my earrings for cakes! This friend of mine makes the best cakes in the world, soo yummy ~ I suck at baking, she likes my earrings - deal! :)))

Can't wait to see it! I haven't seen emeralds and rubies before I first went to N. Carolina, last year, either. If I lived there I'd go mining every day - loved it :)
